Using EscapeCouch

Keep your sign-in account secure and use accurate account information. Do not impersonate others, harass players, share unlawful content, bypass access controls or manipulate scores. We may restrict accounts or remove content that abuses the service. You can report a player or contact support if you believe a restriction is mistaken.

Movement and game results

Choose a clear space and a difficulty suitable for you. Stop if movement causes pain, dizziness or discomfort. Camera recognition, scores and calorie estimates can be imperfect. EscapeCouch provides a movement game and general activity estimates, not medical advice or treatment.

Free play and challenge hosting

Solo play and joining a friend’s challenge are free. When paid hosting is available, an account can complete three hosted challenges free across live and play-later modes, then needs an active hosting subscription to host more. Unanswered or cancelled invitations do not consume a completed challenge. An unfinished challenge may reserve a free slot until it is finished, cancelled or expires.

Purchases and subscriptions

Available plans, localized prices and billing periods appear in the app and your store’s purchase confirmation. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through the App Store or Google Play. Your store account is charged under the terms shown at purchase. Manage renewal and cancellation in that store’s subscription settings; access continues through the paid period shown by the store. Restore purchases using the original EscapeCouch account and store account.

Purchases are handled by Apple or Google, and refund requests follow the applicable store’s process and your consumer rights. Deleting your EscapeCouch account does not automatically cancel a store subscription. Cancel renewal separately before deletion if you no longer want it.

Your content and availability

You retain rights to your avatar and other content you provide. You allow us to store and display it as needed for the features you use, subject to your privacy choices. Keep private invitation links for their intended recipients. Service availability and individual invitations are not guaranteed; invitations can expire and network interruptions may affect live matches.

Ending use and changes

You can stop using EscapeCouch or delete your account at any time. We may update the app and these terms; material changes will be communicated through the app or our support pages. Nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
