Delete your EscapeCouch account
You can request deletion even if you have uninstalled EscapeCouch.
From the app
- Open the account avatar on the home screen.
- Choose Delete account and review what will be removed.
- Type DELETE and confirm. Apple accounts may ask you to verify your Apple ID.
The app shows when deletion has finished. If the connection drops, reopen the account screen and retry the pending deletion.
Without the app
Email support@escapecouch.com from the address linked to your account, with the subject Delete my EscapeCouch account. Include your username if you know it. We will verify ownership before removing any data and reply with confirmation. If you used Apple Hide My Email or cannot access the original address, explain that in your request so we can help verify the account. Never send passwords or sign-in codes.
What is removed
Deleting an account removes its sign-in account, cloud profile and avatar, saved onboarding answers, workouts, progress, awards, challenge records, blocks and reports associated with that account. The app also clears its saved profile, cached avatars and pending uploads on the device used for deletion. Videos you exported to your photo library or shared with another person remain under your control.
A minimal deletion receipt (account ID, request ID, a one-way session fingerprint and completion time) is retained for up to 30 days so an interrupted request can safely confirm success. It contains no profile, email or workout history. We request deletion of the associated RevenueCat customer profile when one exists. Apple, Google and payment providers may retain transaction records under their own policies and legal obligations. Operational backups may retain older data until they expire; they are not used to restore a deleted account into active service.
Uninstalling alone does not delete cloud data. If you have an App Store or Google Play subscription, manage its renewal in that store; deleting an account does not automatically cancel a store subscription.
